About the Common Understanding of Term Norm

Abstract

The problem of the norm and variety of literary language that has been widely analyzed in recent decades set the question of the correlation of norms and actualized variants (the main one and possible). The question is considered by the material of orthoepical dictionary. The idea of the common meaning formation of the term norm that should be different from the meaning of the norm as a standard is sounded in the article.
