Показана специфика реализации семантического объема глагольной лексемы гуляй- в топонимии. Выявлены причины перенесения южнорусских топонимов с основой Гуляй– в другие регионы. Даны рекомендации, направленные на выбор обоснованного написания топонимов данного типа и соотносимых с ними нарицательных обозначений.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The study focuses on the issue of the origin of toponyms with the Gulyay– stem. The research was performed analysing ancient Russian written manuscripts and various lexicographic sources. The paper highlights the specific nature of the realization of the semantic volume of the verbal lexeme gulyay–. The reasons for spreading of South Russian toponyms with the Gulyay– stem to other regions of the country are identified. The author formulates recommendations aimed at choosing a well-grounded spelling of this type of toponyms and common names associated with them.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>лексико-синтаксический тип</kwd><kwd>императив</kwd><kwd>ономастикон</kwd><kwd>топоним</kwd><kwd>топонимия</kwd><kwd>этимология</kwd><kwd>праславянская форма</kwd><kwd>итератив</kwd><kwd>дуратив</kwd><kwd>лексема</kwd><kwd>лексикализация</kwd><kwd>словообразовательная модель</kwd><kwd>аналогия</kwd><kwd>орфография</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>lexical-syntactic type</kwd><kwd>imperative mood</kwd><kwd>onimasticon</kwd><kwd>toponym</kwd><kwd>toponymy</kwd><kwd>etymology</kwd><kwd>Old Slavic form</kwd><kwd>iterative aspect</kwd><kwd>durative aspect</kwd><kwd>lexeme</kwd><kwd>lexicalization</kwd><kwd>word-building pattern</kwd><kwd>analogy</kwd><kwd>spelling</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Веселовский С.
