<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article analyses the reasons for differences in the speech of similarly aged children. Four main group factors affecting children's speech development are considered: their belonging to the group of referential / expressive children; being boys / girls; coming from families with a high or low sociocultural status; existence of older siblings. It is concluded that teachers should consider these factors in their work.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>онтолингвистика</kwd><kwd>вариативность речевого развития</kwd><kwd>референциальные дети</kwd><kwd>экспрессивные дети</kwd><kwd>социокультурный статус семьи</kwd><kwd>наличие сиблингов</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>developmental linguistics</kwd><kwd>variability in speech development</kwd><kwd>referential children</kwd><kwd>expressive children</kwd><kwd>family's sociocultural status</kwd><kwd>existence of siblings</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Белогай К.Н., Сонина Н.А.
